Accipiter is a retail store in Raleigh, NC. It is the "brainchild" of former biologists Pat and Sandy Friedman. Opened in 1988, its one and only location is in the Cameron Village Shopping Center at 2046 Clark Ave. As with many "similar" stores, Accipiter strongly reflects the interests of its customers and owners and continues to evolve. Accipiter has three major areas of interest.
1. FINE CRAFTS & DESIGN
This is where Accipiter started. We look for the finest glass, wood, metal, ceramics, jewelry and and great design from throughout the world. We seek not only great craftsmanship and design but also great value.
The most common sound at Accipiter is that of people laughing. Wind-up toys, magnets, books and all kinds of surprises keep everyone happy.
